Macrons not being interpreted by CMS - bug

Description

we have had clients like parents inc and cultureflow where the macrons are not showing up properly on some users computers. For cultureflow we have tested in browsers to check whether its browser compatibility problem. But we are able to view the page fine for cultureflow. Please refer to ticket: http://support.silverstripe.com/clf/ticket/4

However, Parents Ink firefox interprets it correctly whereas IE doesn't. e.g. https://www.parentsinc.org.nz/what-we-do/ (the link no sweat parenting has macrons). It could be a bug in the CMS not sure.
