Server side validation lacks 'error' messaged when applied to PageComments

Description

When extending the existing PageComments? and PageCommentInterface? and making some fields required, the server side validation doesn't send back any error messages like 'Name is required'.

Client side validation works.

Pagecomments will be externalized into a module, which is a good point in time to look at this stuff.
