Description

First i wanna congratulate for you project. Silverstripe is for me a new hope to get the first open source cms that works in every way and that is full futured. i alsow developed a cms tool, but we had to stop it because we where to small und not anought in the market (but we had some nice futures). So i decided to write this futures to you, so maybe you can implement this or just forget it ;)

BACKEND -> Media Files Management: - Automatically generate a thumbnail while uploading a image/ imageset. (usefull for large images to get first a thumb, combain this whit the editor, so that he just make a link to the large file automatically)

- Multilingual Files, so you decide wich languag is the first language of the site. so you create i picture in this language and you have just to upload the french version into this picture holder. so you have just 1 picture in the media manager and the system gets automatically the french one if its exist and the language changed.

- Protect Media Files, so you can make a extranet with secured files (with a connector or something else)

- Show on which site the files is linked or just added (alsow with img tag)

BACKEND -> Collaboration - Full integrated todo tool with email sending

Backend -> Page Types - News Section (Why you dont integrate directly a news listening style to the cms? i founded in the tutorial)

Frontpage futures - pdf creator to export page to pdf - print option - Frontend edit, you can edit the page in costumer view. (Greatfull for small changes, our costumer loved this feature).

i had a lot more of features, so when you want i can tell you. Sorry for my english, i know its horribal, but i hope you understand what i wanna say with the request.

Thank for reading and go on...

Thanks for your list, Tobias - I think the forum might be a better place to put this. Tickets should always be "actionable", you draw very broad strokes describing whole new feature areas. So ticket is closed, but your general input is not forgotten :)
